A CYCLIST was injured after hitting the windscreen of a car during a collision in Chickerell, police said.
Dorset Police said a man was placed on a spinal board by an ambulance crew after his head hit the windscreen of a grey Ford Focus yesterday lunchtime.
They said the cyclist, believed to be from Weymouth, was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester after the collision close to the junction of Putton Lane and Lower Putton Lane.
The cyclist was joined by his parents at the hospital. He is also believed to have suffered leg injuries.
