ROCK star Rick Wakeman was the guest speaker at Came Down Golf club's annual dinner in Dorchester.
More than 160 members of the golf club packed out the Corn Exchange for a three-course dinner and listened to the rock legend play his famous hits.
Club captain Peter Lush handed over a cheque of £2,000 to Julia's House Charity which was raised from charity matches and fundraisers so far this year.
Manager of the club Julie Fry said: "We were absolutely delighted that Rick could come to the event, to get a big name like that come and support us."
Pianist Rick released his first single in 1982 and has successfully toured ever since. He is perhaps best known as the keyboard player for progressive rock band Yes in the 1970s.
In 2007 Rick started a tour called Rick Wakeman's Grumpy Old Picture Show, which has been featured on television.
