COASTGUARDS were placed on alert when a boat called Far Fetched lost radio and positioning equipment after being hit by a wave.
Lulworth and Wyke Coastguard rescue officers were called to keep watch on the boat on Saturday.
The boat made it to Weymouth, but another boat called My Pleasure had turned back from Weymouth to search for them. Coastguards kept watch over My Pleasure and met both crews to give safety advice.
