Tailbacks are forming along the A35 due to a broken down vehicle.
Traffic is being affected in both direction between Bridport and Dorchester due to the broken down vehicle near Kingston Russell.
The AA traffic news website is saying that traffic is slow in both directions, particularly from Higher Kingston heading towards Bridport.
Motorists may experience some delays to their journey and should plan their route accordingly.
Dorset police said: "We received the report at 3.06pm to a broken down vehicle on the A35 at Kingston Russell."
