Dorset Police now has a dedicated reporting form which won’t leave a trail on your computer.

This service is to help report spiking offences, including drink spiking, needle spiking, food spiking, vape or e-cigarette spiking, or an attempted spiking.

You can also report crimes that happened as a result of a spiking incident, such as sexual assault, theft or violent offences using this service.

You can also report on behalf of someone else.

A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said: "Spiking a terrible thing to do to anyone.

"That’s why doing it in any form is a criminal offence, and it could have serious consequences for you if you do it, with sentences up to and including life imprisonment."

This follows a new campaign by Dorset Police to build awareness around the issue following a rise in this type of offence.

It comes after it was revealed that reports of these crimes across the county more than tripled from 2023 to 2024.

A Dorset Echo Freedom of Information request previously revealed the number had risen to 63 from 19.

The FOI also revealed that the Weymouth area had the second highest number of drink spiking cases in the county after Bournemouth.
