A man has been arrested after being "drunk and abusive" towards the public and an emergency worker in Weymouth today.
Officers from Weymouth Neighbourhood Policing Team were called to reports of a man in Weymouth town centre who was "drunk and abusive" towards the public and shop workers.
The man was issued with a section 35 dispersal notice, ordering him to leave the area for 12 hours.
However, a few hours later, the same man was caught being abusive towards the public by patrol officers from Dorset Council's Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS).
Police officers attended the scene and he was arrested for breaching his dispersal order, assaulting an emergency worker and other public order offences.
