IN LIGHT of the welcome news that Marks & Spencer are likely to be given planning permission to build a huge new store at the Weymouth Gateway site, and taking into account all the recent developments in the area, should consideration be given to opening a new railway station in the area - either in the immediate vicinity or possibly reopening the old Radipole Halt?

When you take into account the amount of recent and future commercial and housing development in the area and the close proximity of the Park and Ride site, it makes sense to me to have an integrated transport hub (rail, bus, car) for this increasingly important location within Weymouth.
Is it possible?
