Two men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault at a Weymouth beauty spot.
Billy Austin, 27, and George Chapman, 24, both appeared at Weymouth Magistrates Court today.
Austin, of Rodwell Road, Weymouth, has been charged with one count of kidnapping and Chapman, of Culliford Way, Littlemoor, Weymouth has been charged with one count of kidnapping and two counts of sexual assault on a female.
This relates to an alleged incident on August 6, 2023 at Radipole Lake, Weymouth.
No pleas were entered and the case has been committed to the Crown Court.
Austin was represented by Simon Lacey and Chapman was represented by Lee Christmas. Victoria Hill was prosecuting.
Magistrates decided the case was so serious that it will be heard at Bournemouth Crown Court at 10am on December 5, 2024.
Both defendants were granted unconditional bail.
