• TWO TRIPS have taken place this week to Street for shopping.

The trips were funded partly by donations given by local people to the collection at Alf's Fish and Chip shop and Barclays Bank.

DISABLED residents from the Dorset Close community centre went on a special bus on Tuesday, 11 November.

Free sausage and chips were provided by John and Karen from the chip shop.

The second trip consisting of two fifty seven seater coaches was on Wednesday, November 12 and was for the elderly of various areas including Fairway Court, Dorset Close, Southill and Westhaven House.

John would like to thank all the people who made donations to enable the trips to be held.

JOHN is hoping to feed around 360 people with fish and chips for a Christmas treat from various centres around the area.

He is raising funds for this by holding a raffle and would be grateful for any donations.
