FUNDRAISERS are being urged to sign up for two fun charity events in Weymouth and Bovington.

Marie Curie has appealed for women to join in its Ladies Driving Challenge at Bovington on September 27.

But it also wants teams to enter the It’s a Knockout! Extravaganza on Weymouth Beach on Sunday, September 12.

Area fundraising manager Julia Chapman said: “Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking to fill the final 60 places at the ultimate driving event at Bovington.

“People will be able to get behind the wheel of some of the most unusual and challenging vehicles they’ll ever dream of driving.

“There will be anything from a fire engine, a double decker bus to a milk float or JCB.”

Experienced drivers will be on hand during the day. Women can join in as individuals or as a group.

Participants must raise a minimum of £100 each and there is a registration fee of £10 per entrant.

Games and inflatable challenges at It’s a Knockout will include Dragon Racing, Water Splash, Man on the Moon, and Human Table Football.

Team registration is £100. There is an additional £500 minimum sponsorship to raise per team.

Individuals can pay £10 to register and need to raise at least £50 sponsorship.
