I MUST respond to Mrs A Buckle about over who sells what on the Island (‘Store wars’, Echo, October 6).
You are forgetting about the anti-Tesco brigade who would complain even if Tesco wanted to give money away.
Like them or not they are a very successful business, but the only people that have made them such a success is us the general public It is because they give us what we want at a reasonable price (not the cheapest store) but a reasonable one.
I am afraid that Tesco has become a victim of their own success.
It seems to be fashionable nowadays to knock them.
I myself can’t wait to see the back of the Co-op the sooner the better.
