BEACHES and beauty spots are captured for a new book about the best of Dorset.

Dorset: A Photographic Journey has been produced by the Dorset Echo and Daily Echo in association with Port-land superyacht builder Sunseeker.

The book of vibrant images is a follow up to the Echo’s best-selling Dorset Coast book.

Dorset Echo editor Toby Granville said: “An imm-ense amount of work and dedication has gone into Dorset: A Photographic Journey.

“I am absolutely sure that it will prove to be as popular as its predecessor, the Dorset Coast book.

“A great deal of pride is invested in everything we do and this is another example of the professionalism, skill and enthusiasm of our staff.

“I would also like to congratulate our contributors whose excellent photos have been chosen for the book.”

The full colour, 176-page book is available for £14.95 at main and branch offices of the Dorset Echo and Daily Echo, and at bookshops countywide.

The glossy book has a similar high quality feel to last year’s best selling Dorset Coast but with a whole new set of stunning pictures on landscape A4 pages.

More than 400 images across eight chapters provide a panorama of Dorset’s scenery, wildlife and people, in all weathers and seasons. Alongside pictures taken over months by award-winning Echo staff, the book includes the finest photographs submitted by local photographers.

Sunseeker founder and chief executive Robert Braithwaite provides the introduction.

Dorset Coast sold out in its initial print run in nine days and was followed by a second run – which also sold out.
