- WESTHAM Community Group held an open meeting to discuss proposals for setting up a new Active Westham programme for next summer.
The meeting was well attended. Both parents and children expressed great interest in the scheme which would provide a range of activities but this is dependent on funding being found.
To help guarantee success with this a self help scheme would probably be needed with residents of Westham being asked to volunteer to help plan the programme.
The planning group will next meet on Thursday, November 26, at 7pm in Fiveways Centre. Anyone who wants to help is invited to come to this meeting. Alternatively contact David Harris on 01305 781660 or Ryan Hope on 07794757558 for further details.
- FATHER Christmas will be present in his grotto at the Christmas bazaar to be held in St. Paul's Parish Centre (behind St. Paul's Church, Abbotsbury Road, Westham) on Saturday, November 21, from 11am to 1.30pm.
Beechcroft St. Paul's school choir will be singing at 11.30am and the June Hornby dancers will be performing at noon.
There will be a wide variety of stalls, refreshments, tombolas and raffles plus a grand draw with first prize of £100, second prize £50 and third prize £25 in cash.
