Residents are being urged to save £400 off the price of a new boiler as part of the Government’s Boiler Scrappage scheme.
From Monday, the Dorset Energy Advice Centre will be issuing £400 vouchers to householders who wish to upgrade their G-rated or older boiler to a new high-efficiency A-rated boiler.
Purbeck District Council has endorsed the new scheme, which aims to assist 125,000 households across England –both homeowners and privately renting tenants – on a first-come-first-served basis.
Pensioners and low-income households receiving benefits may be able to get the full cost of their boiler purchase and installation covered.
