FOUR women started fighting after a row on a bus turned to violence, police said today.
Police said trouble flared on a late-night journey from Weymouth to Portland when the two pairs of passengers started verbally abusing each other.
They clashed after getting off at the bus stop near the junction of Mallams and Fortuneswell on the island, and officers said a series of assaults then took place.
Sergeant Tony Smith of Weymouth West police said three members of the group were injured in the confrontation, which happened on Tuesday at 11.45pm.
Sgt Smith added: "We are looking for witnesses who saw anything at that time."
Anyone with any information should call Weymouth Police on 01305 767474.
