Dorchester Choral Society will honour St Cecilia, the patron saint of music, this weekend with a concert in St Mary's Church.
Hail! Bright Cecilia will include performances of Britten's Hymn to Cecilia and Purcell's Hail! Bright Cecilia.
Three of the evening's soloists - Pippa Goss (soprano), Hugh Hetherington (tenor) and Robert Evans (baritone) - will perform Britten's beautiful canticle The Journey of the Magi. Other items in the programme include Five Mystical Songs by Vaughan Williams.
Hail! Bright Cecilia with Dorchester Choral Society and orchestra is at St Mary's Church, Edward Road, Dorchester and starts at 7.30pm.
