STAFF, parents and children at a Dorchester pre-school are celebrating after receiving an outstanding report from Government inspectors.
Inspectors from Ofsted visited the Prince of Wales Pre-School in June and praised it for its high quality education, which they said enables children to make good progress.
They said provision for physical development was also strong and praised staff for being well qualified and experienced.
The way the pre-school has developed the use of computers and the children's abilities on computers was noted as an area of outstanding practice.
Amanda Godfrey pre-school leader said she was very pleased with the report.
She added: "We are all delighted with the report. The staff work well as a team and this shows the hard work and dedication has paid off.
"We are pleased the time and care we take to produce the high quality resources and the exciting range of activities have been recognised."
The Ofsted inspectors praised the children for their good behaviour and the good links the pre-school has forged with the Prince of Wales First School, Dorchester Opportunity Group and the Nursery Unit.
