BRIDPORT face one of their toughest tests of the season tomorrow when title-chasing Brislington visit St Mary's Field in the Screwfix Direct Premier Division (3pm).

The Bristol-based side boast one of the best away records in the division, winning eight of their 10 matches on the road while keeping a clean sheet in seven of them.

The Bees' task is made harder by the absence of Dave Newland (suspended), Darren Stewart and Simon Austin (both injured), which could mean a shake up at the back and a full debut for new boy Lee Clark.

Bridport will also miss the flamboyance of veteran Micky Greeno, who begins a lengthy ban, but they do have Mark Radcliffe back in the squad to add some much-needed flair.

Third-placed Bris meanwhile are missing long-term casualties Dean Maggs and Chris Churchill, but

former Norwich and Bristol Rovers midfielder Jamie Shore returns.

Last season's runners-up have never finished outside of the top eight since gaining promotion to the Western Premier in 1995.

But they come into the match on the back of a rare defeat and although Bees' manager Bob Russell knows his side are in for a tricky afternoon, he thinks they are capable of pulling off a shock.

He said: "Brislington are always big and strong. They are what I class as a typical Bristol side and it will be a difficult game for us. I would be very pleased if we get something from it.

"But like all of those sides that do very well they will have a slip up and hopefully we're the ones that cause it.

"We have just got to keep believing we can get a result and at this moment in time the only way to do that is through hard work irrespective of who we play. We have to make sure we win our individual battles."
