THERE were red faces at Southampton Airport this week when Ryanair arrived with a large sign telling passengers it's cheaper to fly from Bournemouth.
A hit squad from Ryanair positioned a large trailer outside Southampton informing Glasgow-bound travellers British Airways prices are far higher.
Annette McGarry of Ryanair said: "The fare from Southampton to Glasgow with British Airways is an outra-geous £214.80. The fare from Bournemouth to Glasgow with Ryan Air is from £12.99. We're just reminding South Coast people, especially the business community, that Ryanair is the low-cost alternative.
"Red-faced management at Southampton Airport rushed out to insist we go away. But there wasn't much they could do as we were parked legitimately on public ground."
