THE adventures of Cervantes' windmill-whacking nobleman, Don Quixote, are revisited by students from Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester later this month.

Dreaming of Don Quixote has been put together by pupils from each year of the school and combines drama and music to relate the tale of the knight errant and his loyal squire Sancho Panza.

In a plot twist, they end up in the present, where the knight meets his double.

The play will be staged in the Thomas Hardye School Theatre from Thursday until Saturday, January 23 to 25, at 7.30pm.

Tickets, £4 plus concessions, are available from (01305) 266064.

Oxford don Dr John Rutherford will give a lecture on Cervantes' work on Friday, January 24, at 4pm in the school's sixth form centre.

Tickets for Miguel Cervantes and the Golden Age of Spain cost £2 - call (01305) 266064 to book.
