ADAM TIDBY'S dream of an England call-up has finally come true.
The 38-year-old former Dorchester and Dorset skip has been named as a reserve for the British Isles International Indoor Series which starts at Thornaby, Teesside, on Wednesday, March 12.
"I am simply over the moon just to be part of the England set-up. I knew I bowled really well in the trial on Saturday and thought I had a chance of getting into the squad.
"When I got the phone call from team manager Bill Hobart telling me the good news I was absolutely delighted and could not have wished for more.
"It has been a long time coming but I am playing the most consistent bowls of my career this season and this is the reward for all the hard work I have done over the years."
Tidby left Dorchester to join Hampshire association club East Dorset last spring but is returning to Dorset as an outdoor bowler with Greenhill in the summer.
