CHILDREN from six Dorset schools are waiting to hear if their art will make it to London's National Gallery.
Pupils at first schools Bovington, Bere Regis, West Lulworth, Winfrith, Wool and St Mary's in Wool created sculptures and pictures based around the theme of St George and the dragon.
Headteacher of Bovington First School, Juliet Muir, said: "The artwork has come from a visit the children made to the National Gallery in London as part of a project called Take One Picture.
"The picture they've taken is of St George and the dragon and all the work they've done is related to that picture.
"A director from the gallery has been down to have a look at our work and she said she was very impressed.
"She's looking at 30 schools altogether and we will hear in the middle of January whether or not our work will go on display in the gallery."
