WEYMOUTH is never too far away from one tourist's heart.

Clive Eddowes loves one of the resort's holiday parks so much he's had the name tattooed on his arm!

The father of five, from Dudley, West Midlands, paid £30 to have the name Seaview inscribed above his left wrist - after the Haven complex at Preston.

Clive, 44, is currently on his sixth visit to the Seaview Holiday Park in two years with his family and has surprised staff with his unusual body-art.

He said: "I got the idea because I was fed up of having to show my pass every time I went in the clubhouse or used the facilities at Seaview.

"I told the staff I would get the name tattooed on my forehead to make it easier.

"Of course that would have been silly so I thought I would get the name tattooed on my arm instead."

Clive said the job was carried out at Tattoo Magic in Park Street, Weymouth.

He added: "It's a bit daft but I'm proud of my tattoo.

"Seaview is a great place for the family and we like Weymouth a lot.

"There's plenty of things to keep the kids happy and everyone is really friendly.

"Sometimes we stay in one of the caravans or we bring a tent."

Clive, who does not work because of a spinal injury, is married to Pauline, 53.

The couple often bring their children and in-laws to Weymouth and this time they have brought son Nick, 12, and granddaughter Jessica, five.

Pauline said: "Clive is mad for having that tattoo.

"It does get people talking, that's for sure.

"It's as permanent as you can get so we'll never forget Seaview and Weymouth."

She added: "It's brilliant down here, like one big happy family.

"I think Clive would live here all year round if he could."

Gordon Walker, general manager of Seaview and the nearby Weymouth Bay Holiday Park, said: "I suppose it shows that Mr Eddowes has enjoyed the experience at Seaview but I wouldn't recommend it for all our guests."
