A CONVOY of motorcycles led the funeral procession of bike enthusiast Jimmy Street.

Mr Street, 68, used to own a motorcycle shop in Crescent Street, Weymouth, and his son Ian led the fleet of bikes yesterday.

In tribute to Mr Street more than 50 bikers turned up to take part in the procession, which started from the New Inn in Littlemoor Road, Weymouth.

Onlookers turned out to watch the procession travel to the Littlemoor Road traffic lights, down Dorchester Road and then on to the town's crematorium in Quibo Lane.

Mr Street lived in Jordan Way, Broadwey, with his wife Pam and their two children Ian and Jane.

His son Ian said: "This was a fitting tribute to my father who would have loved to have seen so many bikes here."
