ASTRONOMER Bob Mizon helped launch a project with star-gazers at Ferndown First School.
Year Four pupils went inside his travelling planetarium to learn about stars and planets.
Two children Lianne Downs and Thomas Hall were the first to enter the huge dome to mark its 50,000th visitor.
Head teacher Mark Sandercock said: "It was a great way to kick off their space project. The pupils really enjoyed it."
