CHERRIES are on the trail of highly-rated Reading goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown, the Daily Echo website can today exclusively reveal.
Sean O'Driscoll would like to sign the 21-year-old stopper on a month's loan to help ease his goalkeeping crisis. O'Driscoll is keen to tie up a deal ahead of Cherries' Division Three clash against Cambridge on Saturday, but is likely to face stiff competition for his services from a host of other clubs.
Cherries boss O'Driscoll is also hoping to extend Chris Tardif's loan spell from Portsmouth until the end of the season.
And O'Driscoll is also expected to finally complete the permanent signings of both Marcus Browning and Danny Bloomfield tomorrow.
Browning is set to sign a three-year contract, while Bloomfield has been offered terms for a 12-month deal.
