FERNDOWN'S De Vere Dormy Hotel has experienced a surge in business as a result of the Ryder Cup being hosted by sister hotel the De Vere Belfry next month.
Dormy general manager Derek Silk said: "The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
"We are already starting to see a rise in the number of customers using our business and corporate facilities, through De Vere's link with the Ryder Cup."
De Vere has invested heavily in The Dormy over the last five years with almost £2 million being spent on the hotel and estate.
Proposed future plans include a £900,000 refurbishment and enlargement of the leisure club facilities and main restaurant.
