A RECORD-breaking number of exhibitors crammed into Kingston Maurward for an annual village flower show.
Cloudy skies and drizzling rain failed to put off more than 60 competitors, who entered 420 exhibits into the Bockhampton and District Horticultural Association show.
Doug Chainey from Fordington, who has been a member of the group for more than 20 years, scooped the largest amount of prize money, gaining the Blooms End Cup, the Royal Horticultural Society's Banksian Medal and the Harold Lester Cup for his flowers.
He even won the Members' Cup for the highest points in the vegetable section.
Youngsters Edward Pryce, 10, and eight-year-old Thomazine Butler, both from West Stafford, were also declared winners, Edward for his photograph and Thomazine for her miniature garden.
