THE windy weather did not deter a wrecking trip on Lady Linda when skipper Dave Woodhams found Bullhuss to 10lb, Pollock to 12lb, Conger to 40lbs, ling to 25lbs for Andrew Bath and his anglers.
A group of anglers from the Chequers Deep Sea Angling Club from Lychett Matravers fished from True Blue where skipper Steve Porter targeted bass.
Fishing on distant banks offshore, they landed over 50 bass up to 7 1/2lbs.
The top angler on the day was a Wessex Junior Flounder League member Jamie Battrick,13, who caught a bass on nearly every drift and also took the biggest at 7 1/2lbs.
Mary Irene skipper John Stevenson took some anglers out and bagged a plaice up to 1 1/2lbs. The general catch this week comprised mackerel, dogfish, rays and bream.
