CHERRIES loan star Jermain Defoe received a special award from the Nationwide League to commemorate scoring in 10 consecutive games earlier this season.
Defoe was presented with his trophy by Football League secretary David Dent following Cherries' 2-0 win over Northampton on Saturday.
The AFC Bournemouth Exiles Club also presented their player of the year award to defender Jason Tindall after the final whistle. Wade Elliott was voted player of the year by the Dean Court Football Supporters' and Social Club.
The winner of the prestigious Daily Echo-Micky Cave supporters' player of the year trophy will be revealed ahead of tonight's friendly against Poppies at Victoria Park (7.45pm kick-off).
