NEWLYWEDS Bryan and Sally Barnes honeymooned in Bristol after tying the knot at Birkin House near Dorchester.

Medical secretary Sally Elizabeth Coombs and scaffolder Bryan Barnes married after a five-year engagement in April.

The wedding was attended by the groom’s parents, Lyn and Brian, of Dorchester, and the bride’s parents, Maureen and Tim, also of Dorchester.

The bride wore a silver strapless dress with a train and carried a bouquet of white tulips.

She was attended by her daughter Georgia Barnes, four, and her sister Jenny Meir.

The page boy was the bride and groom’s son Harris Barnes, four, and the best man was the groom’s school friend Barry Cheffey.

There were 57 guests at the wedding and around 90 guests at the evening reception, held at the same venue with a disco and a performance by a fiddler.

The groom’s sister also sang for the happy couple, who live in Dorchester and have been together for 15 years, during the wedding ceremony.
