SATS results for Dorset – level four is the average level most 10 to 11 year olds are expected to reach, with level five being above average.
Pupils in Dorset in 2010 show a 7 per cent improvement on the number of students getting level five scores in English compared to 2009, from 28 to 35 per cent. There was also a one per cent increase in the number of students achieving level four in maths.
