A HEARTBROKEN choirboy is praying somebody finds his lost passport so he can go on his dream trip to sing in Paris.

Kaylem Stone is due to head off with the rest of The Wey Valley School and Sports College choir on Tuesday to perform in gardens in the French capital and on stage at Euro Disney on the edge of the city.

But the 12-year-old Weymouth schoolboy is devastated after his passport went missing from his mum’s handbag on her way home.

“I’m upset that I’m not going to Paris with my school,” he said.

“It’s a dream trip to go there but I don’t know what’s happened to it.”

Kaylem made it through auditions for the trip and was looking forward to singing as part of the performances at the beautiful Jardin Du Luxembourg and at the Disney attraction.

He added: “We have to have our passport ready to leave on Tuesday and the choir needs me.”

The passport went missing while Kaylem’s mum walked from the Jubilee Clock along the Esplanade to the bus stops at the King’s Statue. She boarded the number 10 bus for Dorchester.

Miss Marcella Donohue, 36, got off near Lidl Supermarket on Dorchester Road in Weymouth and believes she could also have lost it near Grove Avenue. She is not sure if the passport fell out of her bag or was stolen.

She said: “If anyone sees it then it would really mean a lot to him because he’s so upset.”

Kaylem’s grandmother Christine Alston is hoping for its return as if it gets sent to the passport office then he will not get it back in time for the trip.

She wanted to go to the passport office in Newport to replace it but said it cannot be done in time.

The 64-year-old from Pipit Close, Weymouth, said: “It’s his dream trip and he’s practising hard at his singing.”
