A UNIQUE opportunity is being offered to the over 50s in Dorset to try creative dance in the ICCI arena on Weymouth Beach.
Older people in Dorset are invited to take part in a free taster session this Sunday, from 3pm to 4pm, in the unique setting as part of a new community dance project.
A Dance A Day aims to encourage older people active through weekly dance classes held at four places across the county including Portland, Purbeck and Lyme Regis.
Managed by Activate Performing Arts theatre and dance development agency, the 12-month project aims to highlight the creativity of older people and give all participants the opportunity to perform in Weymouth and Portland as part of next year’s Cultural Olympiad celebrations.
