THE Dorset Echo has launched an urgent appeal to help the world’s most malnourished children in ‘the worst humanitarian disaster in the world’ in East Africa.
And generous readers have donated more than £3,000 already to help the starving youngsters.
We launched the appeal in conjunction with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), an umbrella group for charities helping with the unfolding crisis.
The UN said today that nearly 800,000 children are at risk of dying without urgent assistance.
