A VIEW of Portland and Weymouth harbour was the perfect backdrop for one couple’s happy day.
Ruth Ashdown married Stuart Martindale, who live on Portland, on June 23 at the Boat that Rocks restaurant in Portland Harbour.
It was the restaurant’s first wedding and the couple said their day could not have gone better.
Mrs Martindale said: “We would like to thank the staff at The Boat that Rocks. They were very good. We had exactly what we wanted. It’s a lovely venue and we had a wonderful day.”
The couple had a small and intimate wedding. Mrs Martindale’s son Liam Cordery gave his mum away. The best man was Mr Martindale’s grandson Harry Savage and the photography was done by Mrs Martindale’s other son Tom Cordery.
The couple had work colleagues from Magna Housing to the evening reception.
The happy couple went to Dartmoor for a few days on holiday before jetting off to Venice.
