POLICE stopped 106 people for bad driving in Purbeck in just one day.
Thirty-five drivers were handed fixed penalty tickets for offences including speeding and not wearing a seatbelt during the operation.
All those pulled over were given strong words of advice about their driving.
Members of the Special Constabulary, Purbeck Safer Neighbourhood officers and traffic patrol officers carried out the operation after hearing of community concerns about unsafe driving in the area.
Purbeck police sergeant Jonathan Wasey said: “We listen and respond to the concerns of our communities and are committed to taking positive action in response to dangerous and irresponsible drivers.
“We will continue to focus on road safety and work together with our partners and communities to make Purbeck roads even safer.”
Motorist should make especially sure that their vehicles are in good working condition as mornings and nights become darker and colder in winter, he added.
