BAG yourself a lovely frock for Christmas at a special market.

The Women’s Action Network Dorset (WAND) is holding its fifth frock market on November 23 from 10am to 4pm at Dorchester’s Corn Exchange.

As well as offering an opportunity to pick up some bargains, there will also be a chance for women to make some money by selling clothes they no longer wear.

All funds raised at the event will go towards the next Women’s Day in the town on April 28 next year.

WAND campaigns on women’s issues and aims to foster a sense of community among women in the county. It has been running for five years and has more than 500 members.

WAND Patron, Tracy Smith, said: “The Frock Market is a fantastic event. “Not only does it allow woman to refresh their wardrobes at a reasonable cost, and make a bit of money for those selling, but it also is great way to reuse items of clothing to stop them going into landfill.” There will also be a festive feel to the event with a Christmas Craft Fayre running alongside the Frock Market giving even more opportunities for Christmas shopping.

Any exhausted shoppers will then be able to pop into the WAND tea room for a cup of tea and cake.

To register to sell at the event or book a craft stall email <&bh"mailto:fantasticdorsetwomen@yahoo.co.uk">fantasticdorsetwomen@yahoo.co.uk<&eh> or call 01305 252314.

WAND will take 30 per cent of sales at the Frock Market for its funds, with the seller keeping the rest. The Corn Exchange will be open from 8am on the day for sellers to drop off clothing.
