A PLEA has been issued for people to pack a public meeting in Bridport about the future of day care services.
Dorset County Council was forced to organise a special summit in the town after an outcry when the west of the county was excluded from its original consultation sessions.
Now a meeting is being held at the Bridport United Church tomorrow night at 7pm for all those in the Bridport, Lyme Regis and Beaminster areas.
Charmouth widow Chris-tine Cook 64, who attends Chancery House day centre in Bridport, said it was vital people went to the meeting.
The Bridport meeting is scheduled to last from 7pm to 8.15pm. It is one of a series as the county council considers how to run its day care.
It is holding a three-month long consultation exercise to decide the best way forward as it seeks to save £600,000 from its in-house day services budget by 2014.
The options include closing or merging some centres, reducing hours, setting up a company to run services or transferring the operation to a charity or business.
