The gypsy site fiasco really does beg the question of what we pay the West Dorset District Council for.

It seems each time a decision has to be made the consultants are called in, no doubt at great expense.

Baker Associates came up with 12 possible sites but the authority, who could not make the decision in the first place, has rejected eight already. Do Bakers repay the fees?

It makes you wonder if they were involved with the Charles Street Office fiasco but were too late to be overruled.

Seems like a good idea to site some of them gypsies in Poundbury, lots of space up there and not too far to get a taxi to the DSS office.
