How I agree with Duane Sharpe’s letter ‘Prices too high for charity shops’ (Letters, February 4).
Although I don’t buy very much from charity shops I used to frequently donate to them.
I’ve always felt that while supporting them I was helping someone get a bargain.
Not anymore, they are not catering for people on low incomes, as Duane said, you can buy new often cheaper from discount stores.
For me I now sell my items through the Echo Free Ads.
People get a bargain and the proceeds buy me something else I need. These days I’m afraid to say, charity begins at home.
