A POSTMAN struck by a car as he walked home from a pub in a village has suffered ‘life changing’ injuries, say police.
Dorset Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following the collision in Litton Cheney just before 11pm on Sunday.
Postman Julian Moyes, 49, was hit by a car as he walked home from the White Horse pub on Litton Lane, near the junction with Cox’s Lane.
Two people, who were arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene, have been released on police bail.
PC Kevin Farenden said the arrested people were a man and a woman, both aged 34.
He said: “The injured man is in Southampton Hospital in a serious condition. It’s not life threatening but it is life changing.
“Two people were arrested and both have been bailed while the investigation continues.
“We are urging anyone with information to contact PC Rodger Clark by calling 101, quoting the incident number 26/464.”
