CAN I express both my disappointment and bewilderment at the decision of Wey-mouth and Portland Bor-ough Council not to grant extra funding to the Osprey Centre?
I am sure that like most people in the borough we fully support any plans that will provide long term benefits both in fitness and health, whilst leaving a long term legacy for the future.
Portland once again, it seems, is the poor cousin and little thought has been given to the needs of islanders. A small amount was asked for and refused.
Portland will once again miss out on vital funding to provide a much-needed facility which would have provided access and opportunities for groups of all ages to lessen the burden on our already overburdened health service.
Do these councillors want a fit and healthy borough or not?
