A NEW leaflet highlighting activities for residents and visitors in Weymouth and Portland this summer is available.
The leaflet, A Summer to Remember, has been produced in response to feedback that some local people are unaware of the programme of events in the borough during the Games.
It includes information about a range of events and attractions including The Torch Relay, Weymouth and Portland Live, the Bayside Festival, Maritime Mix and Weymouth Beach sports arena and the Weymouth Sea Life tower.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council management committee chairman Mike Goodman said: “This summer promises to be among the biggest and best in the history of Weymouth and Portland.
“Whether you love sport, enjoy live music or just want to soak up the Olympic atmosphere, Weymouth and Portland offers locals and visitors a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the London 2012 Games by the sea this summer.
“And many of the activities are absolutely free.”
A Summer to Remember is available from tourist information centres and other local outlets.
