FIREFIGHTERS from across Dorset have signed up to pull a fire engine through Bournemouth and Poole to raise money for good causes.

The exhausting event will take place on Sunday, June 10 to fundraise for the Mark Giblin Support Fund and The Fire Fighters Charity.

The Mark Giblin Support Fund has been set up to raise money for Poole firefighter Mark, who has been diagnosed with liver cancer.

Allan Frias-Robles, organiser and Poole crew manager, said: “We wanted to organise this event to help raise money for injured colleagues and help the charity provide the essential support services to their families.

“We also wanted to support a local firefighter who has been helping make the communities of Dorset safe for over ten years.”

The pull will start at Bournemouth pier at 9am and will go along the beach promenade, towards Sandbanks.
