To all those people, both residents and volunteers, who helped the people in Hardwick Street, Chelmsford Street, Walpole and Brownlow Street in their hour of need a great big vote of thanks. Several houses did have water ingress, but, it would have been a lot worse without your help in arranging sandbags to protect vulnerable properties.
To me it showed great community spirit.
