WE were planning to join the many thousands of spectators who will be part of the Weymouth Beach Live Opening Ceremony on Friday night.
We decided to find out how frequent the bus services would be running.
One phonecall shattered our dream – ‘your last bus will be 23.14’. First have let the townspeople down. It looks like it will be cocoa and slippers and the TV for us. As for everyone else, unless there is a major change of plan to bring drivers in, you may have a long walk home.
