Everyone was touched and very saddened by the death of Lily-Mae.

I have no doubt the family and bikers involved and immediate on-lookers will be traumatised for many years to come. What I can’t understand, is why there is a ‘Crossing point/Right of Way' across a very busy road, with a 50mph, on a 'blind corner’. The ‘landscaping’ of the verges has become more dense; anyone stepping out from ‘Goldcroft’ cannot be seen by on-coming traffic from Westham junction/A354. Nothing can bring back Lily-Mae. But hopefully the local council and anyone attempting to cross at this point can learn from this.

1. Suggest: Close the crossing point /right of way at this point as it is very unsafe. 2. Change the road/speed limit to support the road/make it safer.

3. Create a safe crossing point, where pedestrians have a right of way over traffic, and can be more safely seen at Chafey’s Roundabout, or use the existing underpass/pathway at Westham bridge.
