A TRACTOR and 11 small hay bales were damaged in a fire at Baglake Farm, Litton Cheney.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at 6.10pm yesterday.
Firefighters from Blandford and Bridport attended and found the fire to be inside a single-storey barn made from tin and concrete, measuring 10 metres by 15 metres.
They extinguished the blaze, which involved straw and farm machinery, and dealt with some asbestos in a neighbouring building.
A fire service spokesman said the fire was under control by 6.45pm.
She added: “There was 50 per cent severe damage by fire to a tractor, 100 per cent damage to 11 small hay bales and 50 per cent fire damage to the remainder of the building.”
