THE Brit Valley Rotary Club has been awarded a bronze pennant from ShelterBox for raising £13,000.
The club, which covers Bridport and west Dorset, has collected enough cash to buy 25 ShelterBoxes.
Spokesman Ian Ibbotson said: “This award is not just for our rotary club but for our community here around Bridport and all the people and organisations who have raised money and made donations through us to Shelter Box.
“ShelterBox provide emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world affected by disasters, at the time when they need it the most.”
Anyone who is interested in the rotary club is urged to look at the website at britvalley.rotary1200.org or call Mr Ibbotson on 01308 898484.
